If you’ve been following my fashion posts for a while now you know that no matter how much I love to dress up, my absolute favorite clothing item is a great fitting pair of jeans. When the holidays hit things might get a little more glamorous but they also get a whole lot busier too. One thing I’ve realized is that as our calendar fills up with events to attend, it can be easy to focus on the dressier options for parties and events and let our day to day or errand running looks slide. And while my LBD’s might get center stage, jeans are still my go-to.
One way that I combat letting my everyday style suffer during the holiday hustle and ensure that I always look chic even while running those holiday errands-is to invest in a couple of great holiday-inspired casual pieces.
I love the idea of wardrobe picks serving double duty, so holiday-inspired sweaters or tops are a great choice. NYDJ has several holiday-inspired tops and sweaters that add just the right amount of sparkle and glam while still keeping things casual enough to wear on the go. You can check them out here.
This V-Neck Sweater in Pine pictured below has a festive feel! I love wearing it with jeans and giving it a french tuck to make my look a little more chic! I have gotten so many compliments on this sweater it’s sure to be a favorite staple this holiday season.
And of course, let’s talk about jeans. I believe jeans can be dressed up or down to attend almost any event! Think white shirt, black jeans and a blazer for dinner and cocktails or blue jeans and a dressy top for a holiday lunch. NYDJ jeans have been at the top of my list for years. I own so many pairs, but the Curves 360 Shape Slim Straight Ankle Jeans are perfect for the holiday hustle! Not only do they fit perfectly and move comfortably with you, but the ankle-length means you can wear them with flats for running around town and then transition to a dressier look by swapping your flats for a pair of heels. Perfect for meeting up with your favorite girlfriend or significant other for a quick outing after your errands.
I’d love to hear what your go-to look is for running errands during this time of year!
Until Next Post,
Xo Tonya Parker
