10 Fall Beauty Favorites I’m Loving for September

We’ve been talking a lot about fall fashion lately but I’m equally excited about fall beauty. For me summer beauty is all about sheer tints, glossy lips, glowing skin, and barely-there makeup. But once September arrives, I start craving richer colors, warmer fragrances, and products that make getting ready feel like a lovely ritual instead of a chore.

New fall beauty products are slowly trickling in and I’m sure there will be many more dropping over the next couple of months, but I wanted to share some of my favorite products that are already available now. I think there’s something to be said for starting a new season with a few beauty products that have already earned their cult status. My fall beauty philosophy this year is simple: rich color, beautiful skin, soft definition, and a little bit of everyday luxury.

Here are the 10 products I’m most excited to use this fall.

1. M·A·CXIMAL Sleek Satin Lipstick in Creme in Your Coffee

This classic is one of my favorite lipsticks for a “your lips but better,” look in the fall. The mid tone pink brown shade is so flattering and the formula is hydrating instead of drying out your lips the way so many fall lipsticks tend to. I keep one in my bag and one on my vanity — that’s how often it gets used once the leaves start turning.

2. Rhode Pocket Blush in Toasted Teddy

Rhode’s Pocket Blush in Toasted Teddy is a warm, toasty brown that gives cheeks a softly diffused flush without looking overly “done.” It’s exactly the kind of shade I want for fall: warm, sophisticated, and surprisingly wearable. I especially love that brown blush doesn’t necessarily look like traditional blush. It gives the complexion a little warmth and definition while still allowing the skin to look like skin.

3. Saie SuperSuede Eyeshadow

If summer was about barely-there eye makeup, fall is when I’m ready for something a little more defined. Enter the suede eye. Saie SuperSuede Eyeshadow is perfect for creating those soft, matte, diffused eyes that feel more like suede than traditional smoky eye makeup. This is one of those trends I think translates really well to real life. You don’t need a complicated eye look. Just sweep one shade across the lid, blend it slightly into the crease, add mascara, and go.

4. Le Labo Santal 33

Fall is fragrance season, in my opinion. This cult favorite is smoky, woody, and a little bit leathery — the kind of scent that lingers on a scarf and makes people ask what you’re wearing. It’s not cheap, but a little goes a long way, and it genuinely feels like autumn in a bottle. If you’re interested in a more affordable dupe, try Book by Commodity.

5. Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask

As the air gets drier, my lips need more help than a regular balm can give. I slather this on before bed and wake up with noticeably softer, smoother lips.

6. Merit Signature Lip Blush in September

For the days I want color without commitment, this sheer lip balm-lipstick hybrid is perfect. The shade September is a brick red that feels autumnal without looking like I tried too hard. I also love the shade Gamay- a rich Bordeaux.

7. Westman Atelier Vital Skin Foundation Stick

My skin wants more coverage and warmth once summer’s sheer tinted moisturizers stop cutting it. This stick foundation blends seamlessly with fingers or a damp sponge and gives that lit-from-within, your-skin-but-better finish without ever looking cakey. It’s become my go-to for effortless fall skin.

8. EADEM Le Chouchou Lip Softening Balm in Boba Bounce or Fig Sauce

EADEM Le Chouchou is one of those products that makes a practical beauty step feel luxurious. It’s a deeply moisturizing lip treatment with a soft, jelly-like texture and a beautiful wash of color. There’s also something about this lip treatment that consistently makes my lips look plumper when I’m wearing it. For fall, I’m especially drawn to Boba Bounce, a rich soft brown, and Fig Sauce, a milky rose-brown. Both are exactly the kind of shades that make sense with fall’s richer color palette without requiring you to commit to a dark, opaque lipstick.

9. Cecred Nourishing Hair Oil

Cecred Nourishing Hair Oil has quickly become a beauty-bag staple, and I think it’s particularly useful when you’re dealing with seasonal dryness or heat styling. A few drops through the ends can add shine and help make your hair look polished without requiring a complicated routine. It also has a gorgeous, rich, warm scent. I especially like products like this for fall because healthy-looking hair does so much of the work for you.

10. Sol De Janeiro Delicia Drench Body Butter

Fall is when my skin starts drinking up moisture like it’s been waiting all summer for permission. This body butter is rich without feeling heavy, sinking in fast enough that I’m not stuck waiting around before getting dressed. But honestly, the fragrance is what makes this feel like a fall beauty ritual. Delícia Drench is scented with the brand’s Cheirosa 59 fragrance, a warm, slightly sweet combination of velvet plum, sugared violet, vanilla orchid, whipped amber, sheer sandalwood, and fresh vetiver. It’s cozy and feminine .

That’s my fall beauty lineup this year — a mix of rich color, glowy skin, and a few little luxuries that make getting ready feel like a ritual again. I’d love to know: what’s on your fall beauty list this year? Let us know your favorites in the comments, I’m always looking for new products to fall in love with.
