How to Glow Up in 2025

We’re officially one week into the new year. Did you make any resolutions? The start of a new year is the perfect opportunity to hit reset and embrace the best version of yourself. A glow-up isn’t just about physical transformation; it’s about leveling up your confidence, mental health, and overall well-being. Here are 10 simple steps to help you glow up in 2025 and beyond:

1. Define Your Glow-Up Goals

Before you embark on your journey, ask yourself: What does a glow-up mean to me? Is it about improving your fitness, building self-confidence, or enhancing your personal style? It’s also helpful to choose a word to guide your year, if you missed Tonya’s post check it out to read her word of the year. Write down your goals and break them into actionable steps. This clarity will keep you focused and motivated.

2. Prioritize Your Mental Health

A true glow-up starts from within. Commit to practices that nurture your mental well-being. Spend 5–10 minutes meditating daily to ground yourself. Use a journal to reflect on your thoughts, goals, and progress. If needed, seeking professional support through therapy is an empowering step.

3. Build a Self-Care Routine

Self-care is the foundation of looking and feeling your best. Create a routine that works for your schedule. Find skincare products suited to your skin type and stay consistent. Drink plenty of water to keep your skin glowing and body energized. Aim for 7–8 hours of quality sleep every night to rejuvenate your mind and body.

4. Move Your Body

Exercise isn’t just about aesthetics—it boosts endorphins, energy, and overall health. Find an activity you enjoy, whether it’s yoga, dancing, walking or hitting the gym. I have a love/hate relationship with my peloton bike, but I really love using their app to do pilates, yoga and barre at home. When you find something you like, start small and aim for 3–5 sessions per week. Remember, consistency is key.

5. Refresh Your Style

Your wardrobe can be a powerful tool for self-expression and confidence. Get rid of items that no longer fit or make you feel good. Build or update your capsule wardrobe for the season to make getting dressed easier. For fun, experiment with new colors, patterns, or accessories that match your vibe.

6. Upgrade Your Habits

Your daily habits shape your future. Focus on cultivating small changes that align with your goals. Replace scrolling with reading or learning something new. Incorporate healthier meals into your diet. Schedule regular “you time” to recharge.

7. Surround Yourself With Positivity

The people and energy around you play a big role in your glow-up journey. Spend time with those who uplift and inspire you. Do a social media cleanse and unfollow accounts that make you feel less than your best. Listen to podcasts, read books, or attend workshops that help you grow.

8. Celebrate Progress, Not Perfection

A glow-up isn’t about perfection—it’s about progress. Acknowledge even the smallest wins, and be patient with yourself when things don’t go as planned.

9. Give Back

Kindness radiates beauty. Volunteering or helping others can boost your mood and make you feel more connected to your community. Glow-ups aren’t just about personal change; they can also be about making the world around you a little brighter.

10. Stay Consistent

Consistency is the secret sauce to a lasting glow-up. Create systems, set reminders, and reward yourself for sticking to your goals. By the time next January rolls around, you’ll look back and be amazed at how far you’ve come.

Glow-ups are about embracing who you are while evolving into who you want to be. It’s a journey of self-love, discovery, and intentional living. Take it one step at a time, and remember: the most radiant version of you is already within—this is just about letting it shine.

What are your glow up goals for this year? Let me know in the comments.

xx,

Courtney
