There really isn’t a way to complete your fall wardrobe without throwing in a cozy sweater. One of fall’s top trending hashtags is #SweaterWeather after all, so today I’m happy to highlight the Denim Cable Cotton Sweater from Appleseed’s. The cable weaving gives it that chunky sweater look but it’s lighter and cozier than others that I’ve worn in the past. While browsing the website this line stuck out for me- “this mixed cable pullover is indigo dyed for a unique color that gets softer with washing and wear”. 

You will hear me talk about quality clothing a lot. And quality does not always equal expensive. In the past I’ve invested a pretty large portion of my fall wardrobe budget on a fancy oversized chunky sweater, only to have it exit the wash looking unrecognizable. I’m pretty particular about how I wash my clothes by the way, so knowing that this one was going to get better with time made it a no-brainer purchase for me. I love that Appleseed’s clothing is both moderately priced and high in quality. You want a sweater that will maintain its shape and have no or very minimal pilling. I’ve only washed this one once but it did actually look the same after (pro-tip-I always dry my sweaters flat no matter what the label says). I look forward to it getting better and better over time!

Aside from the quality, which is a big deal for me, I love that a sweater like this one is also very versatile. I’m wearing it with Slimsation Ankle Jeans in dark and a pair of adorable Bandolino loafers in animal print for a great weekend look. Thoughts of apple picking, hayrides, and pumpkin patches with my grandsons immediately come to mind. But as with all of my selections, this one doubles as a great look for work too. I’d pair this sweater with tapered pants or my favorite slim corduroys for a business casual look.
