How to Spice Up Your Fall Wardrobe With Animal Prints!

Wearing animal print can seem like a bold wardrobe choice but animal print actually acts as a neutral, which means it will go with pretty much everything. I had a hard time embracing animal print at first because to me it seemed to scream “hey guys, look at me!” but then I introduced a few smaller key pieces to my wardrobe and fell in love. Now instead of screaming look at me it’s more subtle like “why thank you, I do feel fabulous.” If you haven’t quite embraced the trend (although it’s less trend and more staple) there are subtle ways to incorporate a little of it into your favorite look and there are tasteful ways of going all in. Animal print is one of my favorite looks for fall!

If you have been following along on the blog or social media then you probably know how much I love Chico’s. I am always excited to work with them because they share my ethos of helping women look and feel their best. For this campaign we paired up to showcase their new animal print looks.  I am almost certain that most of my readers love animal print as much as I do now but there may be a few of you who are shy about giving this wardrobe staple a try. As I shared earlier I used to be that way myself, so I certainly understand and I want you to know that there is something here for you too. Depending on how much you want to spice things up take a look at the levels below.

For the novice- (🌶) So you don’t really wear animal print yet but you think you might want to try it. I used to be you. I’d see all of those women walking around flaunting their cheetah and leopard prints and wonder if I could pull that off too. We’ve seen it done well and well we’ve seen it done… The later are what give us pause.  So in this case I encourage you to start small. This is how I got my start. A great pair of earrings, a sleek bag or an animal print shoe is the perfect way to dip a toe in and test the waters so to speak.  Chico’s has a pair of  Animal-Print Drop-Hoop Earrings  that are so stylish and chic and they will go easily with any solid colored blouse without any thought to making it work even while you’re at work. Pair these with a solid colored top. I am envisioning you in brick red, royal blue or even your favorite basic black blouse. Pull your hair into a chignon, pony or top knot to show them off and you will be the chicest person in the office without even really trying… no question.

For the middle ground-(🌶🌶)… so you want to purchase an actual clothing item. An animal print blouse will work here. I’d love to pair the Chico’s Animal-Print Ruffled Top with a pair of jeans for causal Friday. I wore a similar look out with my husband on our date night last week with my favorite heels. A blouse like this spices up your jeans and says “yes, I am a stylish” without the risk of feeling like you’re too much . However, as a disclaimer I have to say that I think you can never be too much if you’re embracing what you love.

For the all in (🌶🌶🌶)…because we like it spicy)-Speaking of being in love.  I am at the point with my animal print that I don’t even think in terms of too much anymore.

I’m crazy about this chic Cheetah-Print Mock-Neck Dress from Chico’s (also pictured above) and when I say its going to be on repeat I mean it. I will wear it with red booties, black and brown leather knee high boots, and a plethora of heels. Please don’t tell me you’re tired of seeing me in it because its going to be my wardrobe BFF for fall.

And how cute is their waterproof trench? The Cheetah Print Rain Coat  is so stylish and I can’t wait to pair it with jeans and my new red rain boots!

That’s my take on how to spice up your wardrobe with animal print no matter what level you’re willing to try.

I’d love to hear your thoughts on animal prints and I’d really love to see you in your favorite animal print pics too!  Don’t forget to check out the new collection at Chico’s here.
