I apologize for my late post this weekend, but I had a house full of family for the Labor Day Weekend and although I had the best of intentions I just couldn’t get away to post. Sometimes, especially when it comes to spending time with people you love, you just have to enjoy the moment right? So, here is the post that has been rolling around in my head for the past few days.
I love the easiness of summer as much as the next person. There isn’t anything more relaxing than feet in the sand and a cool drink in your hand. Beach bums are the quintessential summer icon, and while breezy caftans, sleek swimsuits and sparkly Havaianas are great summer staples they can’t compete with Fall Fashion. I can’t wait to do a full on Fall post as that really is my favorite fashion season, but for now I just want to remind you of a few staples that you may already have in that closet of yours that are basics for great fall looks.
- A graphic tee- You probably have one of these left over from summer, but make sure it sticks around for fall. It’s perfect for layering under a blazer, cardigan, or jacket. I picked up this one in NY this summer.
- A white button down-I wear a white button down a million different ways (I feel a future post coming on) but one of my favorite ways to wear it is causal with a pair of jeans.
- Dark Jeans-I love denim in every wash but dark jeans give you the flexibility to dress them up. I am all about versatility so the dark jean makes the cut.
- A blazer-the blazer makes everything fall ready. I get so much use out of my black blazer. It is the perfect match to jeans, skirts and dresses.
5. A chic flat-At 5’2 I am definitely a heels girl but every now and then I throw on a pair of flats. These J Crew flats are so chic. I can’t wait to add them to my wardrobe.
I hope you love fall is much I do! Bring on the cooler temps and even cooler clothes.
Until Next Post,
