The Real Chic Life

White sneakers have long earned their place as a classic style essential, but I must admit that I was a little surprised by how integral they are to everyday Parisian style. Two years ago, we visited the City of Light, and everywhere I looked, chic women were donning this effortless essential. Since then, I’ve been wanting to add a pair to my wardrobe. As a disclaimer, I’m not completely sneakerless. I do have a couple of pairs of Golden Goose (the animal print is my favorite), and a pair of Brooks running shoes—all of which I wear regularly. But, they don’t quite fit the chic all white sneaker trend. 

I  did a little white sneaker research recently, and here’s what I discovered.

We all know that white sneakers are versatile, and endlessly wearable- easily elevating everything from tailored trousers to breezy dresses. But they’re not all created equal—some lean sporty, others ultra-minimalist, and a few hit that just-right balance of polish and ease.
