This post is sponsored by Hair Biology but as usual, all opinions are my own.
When I heard about the Hair Biology Soft & Hydrated Collection formulated for women 45+ I knew I wanted to try it. Their belief that while biology might change as we get older, our confidence and spirit doesn’t have to, was right up my alley. Bolder not older is my ethos too. I’m passionate about creating content that helps women feel their best but I also believe that looking good makes you feel better too.
If you’ve been following the blog for a while you know that I love a protective style. My hair has changed so much as I have gotten older and I want to make sure that I am keeping it as healthy as possible. But braided (or other protective) styles alone won’t do that, so I am always on the hunt for products that keep my hair hydrated too. My hair tends to be very dry so that’s always quite a struggle. I take a multivitamin, drink plenty of water and protect it from heat styling but as I have gotten older it seems to grow in that way no matter what I do.
When I heard that the Soft & Hydrated Collection worked together to cleanse, hydrate, nourish and bring back shine to dry, damaged, or brittle hair I will admit that I was a little skeptical but there was no doubt that I was curious too.
I tried all four products: the moisturizing shampoo, conditioner, argan oil taming serum, and the deep hydration mask. The collection is infused with Biotin which improves the body’s keratin infrastructure and the argan oil serum is packed with antioxidants that increase the hair’s elasticity and restores shine and vibrancy. The entire collection is free of parabens and dyes which is very important for natural hair.
After my first use, I did notice that my hair felt and looked softer and less brittle and I loved that the argan oil wasn’t as heavy as the one I had previously used. It also helped to tame those wiry grey hairs that framed my hairline. However the real treat was after a few weeks of use I took a braid break and straightened my natural hair. It was silkier and smoother than it has been in years. My hairdresser even remarked on how different my hair felt and looked.
I plan to continue using the Soft & Hydrated Collection as I work on improving the growth and thickness of my hair, both of which seem to have stalled a little with age. I am looking forward to seeing the changes derived from consistent use. And speaking of consistent use I really like that the line is available exclusively at Target which makes accessing it so convenient too.
I’d love to hear about your aging hair journey and if you’ve tried a collection specifically designed for your hair care needs too.
Until Next Post,
