My 7 Favorite Fall Things

When I was much younger I once had someone tell me that Fall was their favorite season. Fall?? Who likes fall? What about summer? I couldn’t imagine back then that anything could beat fun in the sun, convertible tops, flip flops and beachy vibes. This was way before the whole pumpkin spice latte mania set in.

As I got older and my focus turned outward- less about me and more about what was going on around me, I realized that fall is indeed where it’s at. Crisp breezes swirling up autumn leaves, fall fashion and yes… all things pumpkin soon became my obsession.

Now it’s my favorite season too and I look forward to adding to my fall capsule more than any other season. I haven’t done a complete capsule add yet (if you’ve been following me on Instagram you know its been one fabulous but busy traveling summer!) I have however come across some noteworthy things I love for fall:

KylaJoy Handbags-If you’ve been reading my fashion posts then you know I’m a self proclaimed bag lady so it should be no surprise that a chic handbag company makes the top of my fall fashion list. They make beautiful leather handbags that look and feel so stylish. They rival many higher end brands for aesthetics and quality. I was gifted a beautiful clutch that I took on the Oprah cruise and I have to tell you I can’t stop checking out their website. I want all the things! See them here.

Military style Jackets-My color story for fall will be mostly wine/bordeaux and military green. Im loving the new military jacket look for fall. I have two that I  added to my capsule wardrobe for fall (one pictured above). They serve the same purpose as the classic jean jacket, they literally go with everything and are so on trend right now. Vionic Casual Sneakers-#sponsored-Now admittedly I am a heels kind of girl, but Fall is a time when fashion meets function. I love these Syra casual velvet sneakers in- you guessed it…merlot (aka wine) for running errands or making a coffee run while still looking chic. These Vionic sneakers are so comfortable and stylish that they make me want to bid adieu to my entire heel collection…well almost. Get them here.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Lipgloss in Vamp-I recently did a photo shoot where the amazing NYC makeup artist used the matte version of this gloss on me. Surprisingly it didn’t dry out my lips the way other mattes have, but we did use Aquaphor- the fix everything miracle ointment. Even though this didn’t work for me with other Matte glosses it worked just fine for my 11 hour day. Of course I had to head over to Sephora to pick one up when I got home, but I ended up grabbing the wrong one. I grabbed the gloss and you know what? I love it! It delivers a nice amount of color, isn’t sticky and you don’t lick it off 2.5 seconds after application. Get it here.

Bobbi Brown Lipstick in Your Majesty-This is a replacement for Bobbi Brown’s just retired Crimson colored lipstick. My BFF rocked this color on our San Diego trip a few weeks ago and she suggested I get it too. I was sad to find out that it was retired, but they’ve come up with a new moisturizing, long wear formula. It comes in a beautiful gold case and has an even cooler name. Get it here.

Nest Fragrances Classic Candle in Pumpkin Chai-I love to make my home Fall ready and a surefire way to celebrate the new season is with a scented candle. I love this one from Nest as it reminds me of all the things I love about Autumn. Get it here.

Tom Ford Neuroli Portofini Acqua-Okay this last one isn’t technically a fall scent but I love a crisp clean scent all year long for day use and something warmer for special evenings. I haven’t purchased it yet (it’s a little pricey). I received a sample in the mail with a makeup purchase from Nordstrom’s and I’m obsessed with the smell. This scent is a perfect way to bring just a little bit of summer with me into the cooler months ahead.
