Jewelry Trends: What’s In For 2025

With Valentine’s Day quickly approaching I’ve been served my fair share of jewelry ads. It made me curious about what some of the new jewelry trends might be this year. One of the smaller things I’m doing this year to elevate my personal style is to take stock of my accessories and add a few key pieces to my wardrobe. While I tend to be more classic than trendy I still want to know what’s in (and out) this year and I thought you might be interested too.

Here’s what I found: as we step into 2025, jewelry trends are evolving with fresh designs, sustainable materials, and bold statements. Whether you’re a jewelry lover, designer, or trendsetter, this guide will keep you ahead of the curve.

1. Chunky Gold Pieces Are Still Dominating

Thick gold chains, oversized hoops, and bold cuffs continue to reign supreme. These statement pieces add a luxurious yet effortless touch to any outfit, making them a must-have for 2025. Courtney mentioned Chunky Gold pieces being on trend in her 2025 Must Have Accessories post. See it here.

2. Colored Gemstones Take Center Stage

Vibrant gemstones like emeralds, sapphires, and rubies are making a splash. Expect to see a rise in colorful statement rings, pendant necklaces, and mismatched earrings featuring bold hues.

3. Nature-Inspired Designs

Floral motifs, leaf patterns, and oceanic themes are becoming more popular, reflecting a growing appreciation for nature. Look out for organic shapes, textured metals, and earthy stone settings.

4. Personalization & Custom Jewelry

Monogrammed pieces, birthstone jewelry, and custom engravings are gaining traction. People want unique, meaningful jewelry that tells a personal story.

5. Silver’s Big Comeback

While gold remains a classic, silver is making a strong return. Sleek sterling silver designs, oxidized finishes, and mixed-metal layering are all on trend.

6. Minimalist Meets Maximalist

Delicate, dainty chains are still loved, but they’re now layered with bolder pieces. This mix of minimal and maximal styles creates a fresh, modern aesthetic.

7. Statement Earrings Take Over

Big, bold earrings—think sculptural shapes, asymmetrical designs, and oversized hoops—are defining this year’s jewelry scene. The bigger, the better!

8. Ethical & Sustainable Jewelry

Consumers are prioritizing sustainability, driving demand for lab-grown diamonds, recycled metals, and ethically sourced gems. Eco-conscious jewelry brands are thriving in 2025.

9. Pearl Reinvention

Pearls aren’t just for classic looks anymore. In 2025, expect to see edgy, irregular-shaped pearls, mixed-metal pearl settings, and contemporary pearl layering.

10. Body Jewelry & Unconventional Placements

Ear cuffs, hand chains, and body chains are adding an unexpected edge to jewelry styling. People are experimenting with new ways to wear jewelry beyond the usual rings and necklaces.

Jewelry in 2025 is all about self-expression, bold statements, and sustainability. Whether you love classic elegance or experimental styles, this year’s trends offer something for everyone.
